Ventura was the last of a series of albums named after Southern California cities that shaped
Anderson .Paak as a person and musician. The feel good vibes in this album are the perfect soundtrack to any road trip. So we followed .Paak as he drove down the 101 in his old school car, hitting the places have molded his sound. Venice-Malibu-Oxnard-Ventura, with a focus on Oxnard and Ventura. His close friend and collaborator Kelsey Gonzalez of the Free Nationals, rode passenger side and dove deep into the contrast between the grit of Oxnard and the ease of Ventura.
